Alison Wright, an English actress from the UK. She was nominated for an Emmy Award in the year 2017 in her role of Martha Hanson, the star of the FX's period-set spy show The Americans. She also appeared in Ryan Murphy's cult show Feud and Bette & Joan & Hollywood. Wright was born in Sunderland on July 12, 1976. She was raised there by her adoptive family. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She studied at New York City at The Barrow Group and at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. While auditioning for parts, she worked as a server. When she went scuba diving on the ocean - an interest of hers she had a cardiac attack that left her a victim in a state that was similar to one in being in a state of coma. She died peacefully six days later, being surrounded by the love of her family who had flown in to visit her hospital bed.
